Sofie Lohede was a 15 year old girl, who committed suicide.
What was her story?
The young Miss Lohede was depressed and her family sought help by the local social services. The authorities decided to remove her from ther home. According to Swedish law the parents have few options of appeal.
Miss Lohede ended up at a group home in Lövingstorp where she was introduced to two more experienced girls and no fewer than 12 staffmembers. What the staff did as part of their job was not known but the fact was that the young Miss Lohede was in town almost every night with the older girls without it meant that the staff intervened.
Here she met a 42 year old man who drugged her and had sexual intercourse with the then 14 year old girl.
Some time later the girl returned home because the group home decided that they could not do anymore for her. Back home she broke down and told of the relationship with the 42 year old man. He was charged but Miss Lohede was afraid of facing him in court. She did choose to end her young life.
The 42 year old man was later sentenced to 3 years in jail for his relationship with Miss Lohede and a rape of an unnamed 17 year old girl who also was placed at the group home.
